NOMILK2DAY SOUTH NETHERLANDS
With the opening of a new branch in Venlo, Nomilk2day takes the next step in the South of the Netherlands. Tom knows the region like no other: this is where his roots are and where he took his first steps in the recruitment field. With his experience and network, he continues to build sustainable relationships between companies and professionals in agriculture, food, and industry.
Congratulations, Tom, on the opening of the new branch in Venlo! Why is this the right moment for Nomilk2day to establish itself in the South of the Netherlands?
Thank you! Personally, this feels like a very natural step for me. I was born and raised in this region and gained my first experiences in the field here. Because of this, I know how strong the business environment is here and how many opportunities exist. After years of experience in recruitment, I see it as a great challenge to further build our presence in the South of the Netherlands together with Nomilk2day. For the organization, this is a logical next step: we have established a solid foundation in the north and east, and the South of the Netherlands offers a lot of potential in sectors where we excel, such as agriculture, food, and industry.
What makes the South of the Netherlands, and specifically the Venlo region, so interesting for you as a recruitment partner?
The South of the Netherlands is a powerful economic region. Venlo is ideally located: a logistics hub and the gateway to Europe. Here, three strong sectors come together – logistics, agri-food, and manufacturing – in a dynamic ecosystem. For us, this is the perfect place to connect companies and professionals.
How does this new branch align with Nomilk2day's core values?
Our core values are human-focused, entrepreneurial, and connecting. By being physically present in the South, we can better embody those values. We are closer to the customer, can respond more quickly, and build relationships the way we prefer: personally and with care.
You have deliberately chosen a location on the Brightlands Campus in Venlo. What does this location mean for your positioning?
Brightlands is a breeding ground for innovation and collaboration. By being here, we are literally in the midst of the agri-food business. We can directly engage with what is happening, build partnerships, and contribute to the developments in the region.
What can companies in the South of the Netherlands expect from you concretely?
A partner who stands by your side. We think along, help grow, and build sustainable relationships. Not just quick placements, but the right match and real added value for the long term – that is our approach.
What sets your approach apart from other players in the region?
Our specialization. We deliberately focus on the niches of agriculture, food, and industry. In addition, we combine local knowledge with a nationwide network, allowing us to attract candidates and expertise from outside the region as well.
What role do you see for your team within the Brightlands ecosystem?
We want to be the connecting party. Not only between companies, but also between people: professionals, knowledge institutions, and strategic partners. We do this by sharing our network, exchanging knowledge, and organizing events, for example. Brightlands is the ideal place to make this happen.
How important is it to be close, both literally and figuratively, in this region?
Very important. In South Netherlands, personal contact and trust are key. People want to know who they are dealing with, and that's not something you build behind a screen. By being present here, we can respond faster, provide better insights, and truly understand what is happening in companies and among professionals.
For which type of professionals is South Netherlands an interesting region to work in? And how do you help them?
For highly educated professionals with ambition and a love for the region. There are great companies here, often more modest than their potential justifies. We help these companies become visible and also encourage candidates from outside the region to come and work in the south.
What are your ambitions for Nomilk2day South Netherlands in the coming years?
My ambition is to grow strongly together with a strong local team. Within two years, we aim to have five additional consultants on board who understand the region and the industry. This will enable us to support more companies and guide more professionals to the right place. At the same time, we look ahead: there are also opportunities in other parts of the Netherlands and eventually even towards Germany and Belgium. Growth is important, but always with a focus on sustainable relationships and genuine partnerships.
