Team trip to Texel

Three days full of sports, relaxation, and connection

Wednesday, April 15th, it was time again for our annual team trip. After previous editions to places like Kaprun, New York, and Slovenia, this time we stayed closer to home. The destination: Texel.

And it turned out to be a good choice. As soon as we stepped on the boat, it already felt like we were really getting away.

Active around the island

Upon arrival, we hopped on electric bikes for a ride from De Koog to Oudeschild. Along the way, we enjoyed a Texel lunch, followed by the TukTuk Rally. In small teams, we drove around the island, completed tasks, and answered questions. Of course, there was enthusiastic participation, because a bit of competition is part of the fun.

We also visited the Texel Brewery. We had a tour of the monumental building, learned more about the story behind Texel beer, and ended the first day with a barbecue on the beach.

Sporty and sociable

The second day, we cycled towards Golfbaan De Texelse for a golf clinic. Then, power kiting on the beach was on the agenda. With strong winds and large kites, it became a sporty activity full of energy and fun. In the evening, there was a pub quiz followed by a drink and a dance in a small brown café.

Closing on the Wadden Sea

On the last day, we went to the Wad. We took a speedboat towards the Razende Bol. Along the way, we saw seals on the sandbanks and sometimes even right next to the boat. After a final lunch, we said goodbye to Texel. We look back on three great days with colleagues, outside the usual work setting. Sporty, enjoyable, and with enough moments to get to know each other just a little better.

And the first ideas for the next edition? Those have of course already started to emerge cautiously.
