Looking back: Business Event on the future of agri & food

Recently, over 40 executives, entrepreneurs, and supervisors from the agri-food sector gathered at our office in Zwolle for an inspiring Business Event. An afternoon focused on sharing knowledge, networking, and looking ahead.

Together with Marijke Folkers - in 't Hout and Jester Strategy, we explored the future of our sector. Will the Netherlands still be a guiding country in 2050? What developments will shape the agricultural and food sector in the coming decades? And what strategic choices do those developments already require from organizations today?

Although no one can predict the future, we can dare to imagine it. From that starting point, open conversations arose about innovation, sustainability, leadership, and the role organizations play in a sector that is constantly evolving.

What characterized this afternoon the most was the openness with which experiences, insights, and ideas were shared. It was precisely the open conversations, the different perspectives, and the shared ambition to further advance the sector that made this afternoon valuable. Because ultimately, knowledge only truly gains meaning when shared with each other.

After an afternoon full of inspiration, there was plenty of discussion afterwards. Perhaps just as valuable as the sessions themselves were the spontaneous conversations over a nice glass. Sometimes a new collaboration simply begins with: "Shall we have coffee sometime soon?"
