Johnson Vision (formerly AMO Groningen BV), part of Johnson & Johnson, was set up as a Center of Excellence to develop, improve, prepare for production and produce innovative solutions for surgical ophthalmology - mainly intraocular lenses (IOLs). The organization is subdivided into 5 core teams that work largely on a project basis and according to strict quality guidelines in an international environment. The organization is growing strongly due to an increase in projects and production volume.
The senior project manager R&D / NPD assists in the planning and execution of a program for product development projects. He / she monitors the requirements regarding budget, scope and milestones. Which is done translating the strategic objectives to an implementation level. It should also come natural to you that a consistent application of development procedures at all stages of the project and in all project teams is of great importance.
To achieve a good execution of your function, you show ownership of projects and guide your teams through the "product development process" of Johnson & Johnson Vision. You see and like the challenge of working with multifunctional and internationally composed project groups. You are also the benchmark of the Groningen branch in Johnson & Johnson. Every year you travel 3 to 4 times to the United States to give presentations and / or pitches to stakeholders about the progress or new innovation projects.
- A BSc/MSc/PhD, preferably in Engineering or Life Science
- 5-10 years of experience with the development of new products in medical devices
- At least 5 years experience in a project management role
- Experience with MS Office and Project Management software
- Experience with Design Control
- You are capable of identifying targets and dividing them into realizable tasks
- You can create coherence between your teams, also remotely
- You tackle conflicts, obstacles, problems and risks creatively
- You are capable of giving effective presentations for large and small groups
- Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written
