International commercial position for an experienced enthusiastic commercial person in the poultry sector.

Client

Evonik Porphyrio NV, formerly Porphyrio NV, provides cloud-based specialty software to professional livestock producers worldwide for processing and analyzing data. Today, the company is focused on poultry, but other sectors will follow. The data-driven solutions enable livestock producers to better manage, predict, and optimize their operations with the aid of Big Data Biostatistics & use of “Artificial Intelligence”.

Since October 31st 2018, Porphyrio became part of Evonik to become Evonik Porphyrio NV, being a corner stone for the Precision Livestock Activities within the Evonik Animal Nutrition Business. Evonik Animal Nutrition is a highly reliable, globally operating provider of science-driven products and services for sustainable and efficient production of meat, fish, eggs and milk. The organization is marked by scientific excellence and sensitivity to the needs of customers and society.

Position

As Commercial Director you are responsible for the commercial results of Porphyrio. You work from the international head-quarters in Leuven and travel for about 40-50% to customers within the poultry business. You maintain and develop contacts worldwide and you analyse the market for possibilities to develop and grow. Next to this you also actively support your colleagues in the Evonik Animal Nutrition department and your network of agents and distributors.

Profile

You’re in for a challenge in a visionary technology company in this classic sector. You like to travel. You are a poultry expert with a good knowledge of the international poultry production market. You understand the current problems of poultry producers, especially integrations. Through your empathic qualities, you are able to persuade these producers of the added value of our services and solutions.

Do you recognize yourself in the below criteria?

  • You have a passion for sales;
  • You have international sales experience in the livestock market, preferably in the poultry market;
  • A degree in Bioscience Engineering, Animal Science or Veterinary Medicine;
  • You are happy to travel around the world;
  • You speak different languages. Fluent English is a must, if you speak German and/or French and/or Italian and/or Spanish and/or Chinese, it is a big asset;
  • You take initiative and are happy to bring new ideas into a young developing company;
  • You know how to organize yourself to make sure you reach your targets.
