ChainCraft
ChainCraft came into being through a discovery at Wageningen University. It was discovered that valuable biochemicals, in the form of medium-chain fatty acids, could be produced from organic waste streams. This was a huge invention compared to composting or fermenting organic waste into biogas. Over the last 10 years, ChainCraft has been working on this disruptive bio-based innovation, scaling up from laboratory to pilot scale and then to an operational and semi-commercial demonstration scale. The company is now ready to become a competitive challenger in the chemical industry.
Since this year, ChainCraft and Royal Agrifirm Group have started a collaboration for the upcycling of bio-residue streams. ChainCraft has developed a new technology that makes it possible to produce Medium Chain Fatty Acids from bio-residual flows from the agrifood industry. This is done by using natural fermentation processes.
