"Nomilk2day is an extension of our HR department"

According to HR Director Isolde Eleveld-Terwel, filling difficult vacancies requires knowledge and insight into the organizational strategy and culture, and finding the right candidates who fit. "With their extensive network, Nomilk2day knows these candidates."

Isolde Eleveld-Terwel expanded various teams

Since the start of Nomilk2day, there has been a collaboration with Isolde Eleveld-Terwel, who is currently the Group HR Director at ForFarmers. Even in her previous HR role at De Heus, she already posted vacancies with managing partner Wim. "I was immediately intrigued by the name Nomilk2day. It is a catchy name and the link to the sector is of course important."

You have been working with Nomilk2day as a client for 10 years now. How is that going?

"Wim and the team are an extension of our HR department. We engage them for the more challenging to fill vacancies and executive searches. A bureau can, as a neutral party, gauge the interest of candidates without disclosing details or names. This works well for both us and the candidates. What I appreciate is that Wim and I can always make good agreements that can also be adjusted when necessary."

What is needed for such a successful collaboration?

"Trust, integrity, and discretion. It is important not to name-drop. In that regard, I trust Wim completely. I know that, with his experience and communication style, he always handles it well. That is essential in this profession."

Have there been any recent successful placements?

"Absolutely! Nomilk2day filled the position of Managing Director for one of our operating companies last year. This was an exclusive search assignment. It is mainly these types of senior positions that Wim and I collaborate on. We know each other well, which makes coordination quick and efficient. Wim is always willing to brainstorm and is easily reachable."

Can you give an example of how that works?

"What I appreciate is that Nomilk2day is not a rigid organization. At Nomilk2day, it's no-nonsense: both feet on the ground and always a flexible approach that fits the situation. Even if Wim doesn't have a specific task from us, he thinks along about the right candidates. For instance, we currently have a vacant executive-level position, and Wim is brainstorming with us on that. Of course, there is a commercial interest involved, but Wim genuinely looks for the right match, partly because he knows our organization well. That works very smoothly."

What feedback do you receive from candidates placed through Nomilk2day?

"The candidates proposed by Nomilk2day always give positive feedback. They appreciate the thoroughness and communication. Everyone is kept informed about the progress, which is crucial, especially in a tight labor market. I also find it very important how the agency treats our candidates because I see them as an extension of our organization. As a company, we want to treat people carefully, and Nomilk2day follows the same approach."

Regarding the tight labor market, what should you pay attention to?

What makes Nomilk2day unique is that they realize a candidate is in a process and wants to be kept informed. It seems simple, but it's important for a candidate to know why, for example, it sometimes takes longer if schedules don't align for a follow-up interview. This needs to be managed well, otherwise you risk losing a good candidate. Especially in the current tight labor market, where candidates often have multiple organizations to choose from.

Now, the ultimate question, would you want to be a candidate at Nomilk2day yourself?

"Definitely! If the situation arose, I would be happy to be a candidate at Nomilk2day, but of course, that can only happen if I am no longer connected to ForFarmers, which is not the case at the moment. Nomilk2day works for the most prominent companies in the agribusiness and has built a fantastic reputation. Candidates in our sector also know how to reach them. That is essential for successful recruitment."
