Muntons is one of the largest malted ingredients producers in the world. They supply global multinational drinks companies, major regional food and drink companies, all the way through to small independent craft brewers and start-ups around the world.

Since they started in 1921, Muntons is a long established and successful business in the manufacture, distribution and selling of malt and malted ingredients. Malt is the primary raw material for beer and malt whisky, and malted ingredients are used in a variety of applications within the food and drink sector.

The head office and main manufacturing operations are in Stowmarket, Suffolk. The business has a second malting site at Bridlington in Yorkshire, a third smaller specialist site producing peated malt near Driffield, and a malted ingredients production facility in Thailand. The Company also has directly managed malted ingredients sales/NPD operations in the USA (Chicago), The Netherlands, Singapore and Thailand (Bangkok) and exports malt and malted ingredients to over 76 countries worldwide through agents and distributors. With their output of around 240,000 tonnes of malted products per year, a turnover in 2022 from  $130m and a headcount of over 380 employees, the company has an ambition to continue on this trajectory.
